Vacancy
As a CNC Miller/Turner at Blok System Supply, you are responsible for independently manufacturing complex components on modern Mazak machines. In the morning, you lay the foundation by translating technical drawings into flawless programs using Hypermill, often programming directly at the machine or at your own workstation. You select the appropriate tools, cutters, and clamping methods, and precisely set up the machine for a new production run—whether it involves parts for a UVC robot or a biogas generator. After producing the first prototype, you carry out a full quality inspection using precision measuring instruments to ensure the result meets micrometer-level accuracy.
Throughout the day, you closely monitor the production process by listening to the machine, checking chips, and performing regular measurements. You act as a technical advisor to the assembly department, providing direct input on manufacturability and suggesting adjustments to parts for new prototypes. You seamlessly switch between different materials and machining processes, adjusting priorities based on the planning in the assembly hall. At the end of the day, you thoroughly clean your workspace and machine, update your administration in the system, and prepare the work for the next morning.
You will work in the CNC department alongside one fellow CNC Miller, with whom you collaborate closely. In this down-to-earth team, craftsmanship is the standard; you divide daily tasks based on incoming production orders and check each other’s work. In addition to your direct colleague, you work closely with assembly staff and regularly interact with the operations office, from whom you receive your assignments.
If you see it as a sport to bridge the gap between complex technical drawings and perfectly fitting components for high-tech products, and you can handle the high pressure that comes with extreme precision, then this is the job for you.
Working week
On a good working day, you have a lot of variety in the components you produce on the Mazak machine, and with your technical advice you are able to solve a problem in assembly, allowing the final product to be successfully assembled.
On a less enjoyable workday, the technology doesn’t cooperate and you are faced with complex issues. In addition, you spend a lot of time correcting mistakes made elsewhere in the process. There may be a few frustrations along the way, but together you work towards a solution.
